Tech’s Wilson Performs Well at NACAC Games
SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador -- Louisiana Tech senior Latonia Wilson made a great showing at the North American Central American Caribbean Games this past weekend.
The Amite, La., star posted a third place time in the women’s 200 at 23.14 seconds, and then went on to help lead the American team to a 4x400 championship with a time of 3:29.15.
“We’re extremely happy for Latonia,” Tech associate head track and field coach Shawn Jackson said. “She’s able to showcase her talents on the world stage. Next up for her is the Pan-American Games, so she’ll come home for a couple of days and then get ready to rock’n’roll.”
Former Tech All-American Ayanna Alexander won her triple jump meet with a leap of 45 feet, 9.25 inches..
