RUSTON - Louisiana Tech forward Adrienne Johnson picked up her second player of the week award Tuesday when she was named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association State Player of the Week.
Johnson, who has now won that award three times this year and six times now in her career, averaged 31.0 points and 8.0 rebounds a game while leading the Lady Techsters to a pair of Western Athletic Conference wins over Utah State and Nevada.
In the win over the Aggies, Johnson scored a career-high 36 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for her seventh double double of the year and the 20th of her career. She also set a program record by hitting 16-of-16 free throws in the win.
The Franklin native returned two nights later to score a game-high 26 points in the win over Nevada.
Johnson also earned the WAC Player of the Week Award on Monday.
