RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech hosts Charlotte on Thursday, Feb. 13 in a nationally-televised Conference USA showdown on Fox Sports Network in the 7th Annual Pack the House game at the Thomas Assembly Center.
Tipoff for the contest between the Lady Techsters and 49ers is set for 8 p.m. as numerous promotions have been set surrounding the nationally televised game.
Tech, which is the only five-time NCAA Pack the House champion as the athletics department won the award for the Western Athletic Conference every year from 2007 through 2011, continues the promotion despite the NCAA not sponsoring the event.
This year's game will have a pink theme to it as the first 500 fans through the Thomas Assembly Center doors will receive free PINK OUT t-shirts in an effort to help promote breast cancer awareness. The Lady Techsters will also be sporting their pink uniforms for the contest.
Free jambalaya courtesy of Brennan Dodge will also be available on the front steps of the TAC while supplies last. It's also Greek Night at the Thomas Assembly as free pizza will be available to the first 200 Louisiana Tech students through the doors. A number of on-court competitions will be held for Tech students during the game.
The bounce house will be set up outside the Thomas Assembly Center for young Tech fans.
Any area high school teams interested in attending the game free of charge can contact Assistant AD for marketing Jay Luksis in advance. Luksis can be reached at email@example.com or at his office during weekday hours at 318-257-5332.
