RUSTON - The Louisiana Tech Lady Techster basketball team will return home this week for two critical Western Athletic Conference games as head coach Teresa Weatherspoon and Co. will host Seattle Thursday and Idaho Saturday.
Both games are set for a 7 p.m. tipoff at the Thomas Assembly Center.
Promotions have been set around both games this week as Thursday night will be the "THINK PINK" Breast Cancer Awareness Game while Saturday will be March of Dimes Night.
As part of events surrounding Thursday night's "THINK PINK" Breast Cancer Awareness Game, fans wearing pink to the game and donating $1 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure will be entered to win $100.
The first 100 fans through the Thomas Assembly Center doors will also receive a free Valentine's Day card signed by the Lady Techsters.
Other promotions include the Raising Cane's Challenge, the Northern Louisiana Medical Center's Toss It For a Tee contest, the Hill Oil-Green Clinic "Shoot for a Cure" contest ($25,000) as well as performances by two local tumbling and dance teams at halftime.
Saturday night's promotions include the annual March of Dimes Diaper Derby with both a crawler and a toddler's division. Fans can register their infants the night of the game.
In addition for every $1 fans donate to the March of Dimes that evening, fans will receive a raffle ticket and a chance to win $100 and free popcorn.
Other promotions include free pizza for LA Tech students, the Franke "Dress for Success" Shootout ($100), the Raising Cane's Challenge, the Hill Oil-Green Clinic "Shoot for a Cure" contest ($25,000), and performances by the LA Tech Regal Blues.
