RUSTON - Louisiana Tech head coach Chris Long has announced the dates for the four Lady Techster Basketball Camps for 2008.
All four camps - Day Camp, Elite Position Camp, Individual Camp and Team Camp - are set for the month of June starting with the Day Camp on June 2 through 5.
The Day Camp is open to girls entering kindergarten through 6th grade in the fall of 2008 and the cost is $100. Camp will run 9 a.m. to noon at the Thomas Assembly Center with registration occurring June 2 from 8 to 9 a.m. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required and deadline to sign up is May 30.
Elite Position Camp will run June 6 through 8 and is for those players wanting to elevate their game in order to play at the highest level. This camp is only open to girls entering grades eight through 12 in the fall.
This camp focuses on individual offensive and defensive position play. Cost is $195 for resident campers and $165 for commuters. A $95 non-refundable deposit is required and deadline to sign up is June 2.
Individual Camp is set for June 8 through 11 and is for girls entering grades 5 through 12 in the fall. The camp is divided into age groups which allow campers to learn with athletes of their own age and ability.
Cost of the camp is $295 for resident camps and $200 for commuters with a $95 non-refundable deposit required. Deadline to sign up is June 2.
The 10th annual Team Camp is one of the premier team camps in the country and will run from June 13-15. The camp will be divided into divisions according to classification and competition level, including varsity and junior varsity divisions. Teams will play at least 8 games as well as the "2-minute Tournament."
Each team must have at least eight players and its own coach. Cost for the camp is $65 per player with a non-refundable deposit of $30 per player required. Deadline to sign up is June 2.
