Miles takes over for former head coach Shawn Jackson, who served as the head coach of the Techsters for eight seasons since the program was introduced in 2004. "It is a tremendous honor to coach for Louisiana Tech and this university," Miles said. "When it is all said and done, I know Louisiana Tech is going to be a top contender. I appreciate this prestigious offer and it is an honor to be the coach of such a quality group of women. As a team, they have some of the best talent I have ever seen. To have the chance to coach at this level is a dream come true." Miles brings a wealth of experience to Tech as he has been a member of the Professional Bowlers Association since 1982 and an avid bowler for most of his life. In 2009, Miles was recognized as a certified United States Bowling Congress Bronze level coach and went on to coach a junior bowling league with approximately 150 bowlers the next year. Those accomplishments include bowling 11 strikes in a row several times and bowling multiple 300 games throughout his career.
