RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech's bowling team remains in seventh place after action from day two Saturday at the Music City Classic.

The 17th-ranked Techsters (42-31) finished 2-5 on the day and are 4-9 overall at the classic.

"We started off slow with a lot of errors and got behind," head coach Shawn Jackson said. "When facing good teams you can't get behind early and we did that and couldn't come back from it. We are still learning on how to play good teams on a consistent basis."

Tech beat Hampton and No. 11 St. Francis and fell to Sothern Illinois, No 8 New Jersey City University, Florida A&M, No. 15 Alabama A&M and No. 12 Kutztown University.

The Techsters can finish no worse than 10th place and the best they can finish is seventh. Play resumes at 8 a.m. on Sunday for the final day as they first compete against No. 10 Valparaiso in baker play.
