RUSTON, La. - Head coach Jerry Miles and the Louisiana Tech women's bowling team are set to return to the lanes as play at the second annual Prairie View Invite in Arlington, Texas is scheduled to begin Friday, Feb. 1.
The tournament is hosted by Prairie View A&M and will be held at the esteemed Bowling International Research and Training Center.
The three-day event will feature a combination of Baker matches, individual competition and bracket play as the Techsters look to shine among the nation's best teams.
Tech is coming off an eighth place showing at the Mid-Winter Classic in Jonesboro, Ark., and are looking to improve with each tournament this season, beginning this weekend at the Texas invitational.
Senior Elizabeth Eldredge continues to lead the team with an average pin fall of 192.9 and a season-high 242 at the Track Kat Klash earlier this season. Kay Rawls and Kayla Ghersini are also top competitors for Tech with averages of 185.2 and 183.7 respectively.
The Prairie View Invite will last from Friday, Feb. 1 through Sunday, Feb. 3, as the Techsters are set to compete against the nation's top bowling teams.
