RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech's bowling squad is set to travel to the second annual Track Kat Clash bowling tournament Friday, Saturday and Sunday to battle quality opponents in Huntsville, Texas.
After placing eighth in its first tournament of the year, the Tulane Bowling Invitational, head coach Jerry Miles and his Techsters are looking to be contenders this weekend against the likes of the nation's top bowlers.
The team will face off against eight teams ranked in the NCAA Division I Bowling Top 20. Six of those fall in the top 10 in the nation and include No. 2 Arkansas State, No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 5 Nebraska and No. 8 Sam Houston State, who will play host to this weekend's tournament set to be held at Huntsville Lanes.
LA Tech will compete in Baker matches on the first day of action and resume traditional team matches Saturday. Day three will see the Lady Techsters compete in best-of-seven Baker matches in bracket play to conclude the weekend.

The action will begin Friday and run from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., while Saturday's competition is set from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The tournament will wrap up Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
