Louisiana Tech will begin its Indoor Track & Field season at the Leonard Hilton Memorial meet hosted by the University of Houston this Saturday.
"It's the season opener so it will be an opportunity to evaluate where we are as a program, and hopefully start to jell as a team," head coach Gary Stanley said.
The event will be a scored meet in which 13 teams will participate at including Western Athletic Conference rivals SMU and Rice.
Tech will be entering its second year of Track competition in the WAC and is looking to improve upon last year's showing.
"We have a lot of new faces, and we're looking forward to seeing how they stack up against college competition," Stanley said.
Field events start at 9 a.m. with the first running event scheduled to go on at noon.
Results will be available at www.Uhcougars.com immediately following the event.
