Louisiana Tech Indoor Track and Field to Compete in the Bayou Bengal Invitational
BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Tech Indoor Track and Field team will compete in tomorrow’s Bayou Bengal Invitational at Louisiana State University in an all-day event to continue the 2006 campaign.
“We’re looking to improve upon last weeks success at Fayetteville (in the Razorback Invitational),” head coach Gary Stanley said. “Our athletes may do different events than before so it will be a good tune-up for upcoming events.”
The Bulldogs and Techsters will travel down the day of the event and drive back the same night.
”The travel will only get to us if we let it,” Stanley said. “We’d rather cut back and save a few coins for some other big meets we have coming up. I think we’ll get some good performances.”
The Lady Techster 1600-meter relay team is currently ranked fifth in the nation according to www.trackshark.com and will look to possible improve on that ranking as well as others.
