RUSTON -- The members of the Louisiana Tech women's indoor track team were named this week's Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday, a day after they won their fourth Western Athletic Conference title in five years.

The Lady Techsters' latest conference title marks their second in two years.

After the first day of competition in Nampa, Idaho, Tech was in last place with 13 points, 46.5 points behind first place Idaho. On Sunday, the Techsters rallied and with one event remaining, the 4X400 relay, they were only one point (111-110) behind day two leader Idaho. The relay team consisting of senior El Charrita Reynolds, junior Kamelia Stroy, sophomore Shante Benion and sophomore Monique Wright went on to win the relay by four seconds with a time of 3:43.07 and thus sealed the conference championship by topping Idaho 120-114.

In the individual events, sophomore Chasidee Lewis-Baker took home first place in the women's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.51 seconds, while junior Antoinette Cobb finished third.

The Techsters swept the 200-meter dash with freshman Stacia Hanneman finishing first, Lewis-Baker second and Wright in third. Hannemann later received WAC Indoor Freshman of the Year for her performance throughout the indoor season.

Tech also swept the 400-meter dash as Wright finished first, Stroy second and Reynolds third.

Cobb took home first place in the 60-meter hurdles with a provisional qualifying time of 8.36 seconds.

Sophomore Quatisha Williams took second in the long jump with a jump of 19' 2.50".
