Tech Track and Field Competing in Texas Relays
AUSTIN, Texas -- The Louisiana Tech track and field team has traveled to Austin, Texas, for the 79th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on the campus of the University of Texas for a four day meet as they continue a successful 2006 outdoor season.
“This is definitely one of best class of meets in the nation,” Tech head coach Gary Stanley said. “It’s the cap of a hard, good quality three weeks we’ve had.”
The Bulldogs have only run in a few events, but most notably has been junior Tim Marshall finishing eighth in the men’s 10000-meter run with a time of 33 minutes, 3.97 seconds.
“He was the first NCAA division I guy to cross the line,” Stanley said. “We’re looking forward to the remainder of the weekend.”
Tech will be running for the remainder of the weekend through Sunday before returning home for Tech Twilight set for April 12 beginning at 2 p.m.
