RUSTON--Louisiana Tech's outdoor track and field team concluded their regular season Thursday, as they competed in the Cole/Lancon Twilight at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette's Track and Field/Soccer Complex. The meet was the team's final tune up before the conference meet in Logan, Utah next week.

The meet saw Louisiana Tech take first place in six separate events. Thrower Tierah Hall finished first in the women's shot put with her first regional qualifying throw of the year at 48' 9". The throw is also the third best throw in the conference at this point in the season.

Other champions included Albert Fullwood in the 400m with a time of 47.97 seconds. Terry Carter, also plays football for Tech, took home a first place finish in the 200m with a time of 21.66 seconds which is good enough for third in the conference. Josh Slocum finished first for the Bulldogs in the 1500m run with a time of 4:14.55.

In the relay events the Bulldogs 4x100m team won with a time of 40.78 seconds. The team consisted of Nick Messina, Kevin Stewart, Josh Harvey and Carter.

Louisiana Tech took first in two field events. Hall won the women's shot put with her throw of 48' 9" and Jonathan Keys won the men's triple jump with a jump of 46' 11.75".

Tech will return to action next week as they travel to Logan, Utah for the WAC Outdoor Championships presented by Springhill Suites.
