
![]() Women's Outdoor Track and Field Team Receive Another Honor

RUSTON -- The members of the Louisiana Tech women's outdoor track and field team were named LATechSports.com Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday after they won their fifth straight outdoor conference title. The Western Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships took place May 13-16 in Logan, Utah. The Lady Techsters recorded eight first place finishes and dominated their competition by winning the title by 21.5 points. Nadia Alexander, Antoinette Cobb, Stacia Hanneman, Chasidee Lewis-Baker, Kamelia Stroy and Quatisha Williams, a double winner, all won their respective individual events. The women's 4x100 relay team consisting of Lewis-Baker, Hanneman, Lashannda Worthy and Monique Wright finished first while setting a new venue record. Brittney Guy, Tierah Hall and Wright took home second place honors. At the conclusion of the championship, 12 Techsters were named to the All-WAC First Team and five received second team honors.
