Alexander Advances to Finals of Shot Put

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.--Senior thrower Nadia Alexander finished seventh out of 27 competitors in the shot put to qualify for the finals at the NCAA National Championship Track and Field Meet in Fayetteville, Ark Wednesday afternoon.

Alexander qualified with a throw of 52' 10.25" and will throw again in the finals on Thursday.

Junior Kamelia Stroy and sophomore Monique Wright were walking onto the track for the prelims of the women's 400m dash Wednesday night when the meet was called for a rain delay.

Junior Antoinette Cobb and the women's 4X400 relay team will run Thursday afternoon.
