CONWAY, Ark. - The Louisiana Tech soccer team started its spring season strong on Saturday evening with a 2-0 win over Arkansas State and a 2-1 win over host Central Arkansas at the Bill Stephens Track and Soccer Complex.

"It's still early in spring season but signs look good," said head coach Kevin Sherry. "[The team had] a good performance and were well-disciplined. The team followed the game plan which was pleasing. They are an intelligent group who plays for each other."

The round robin tournament comprised of two thirty minute halves with each team playing each other once.

LA Tech and Arkansas State were scoreless at the half, but goals by freshmen Brittany Beddow and Rosie Lethbridge lifted the Lady Techsters to the victory.

Lethbridge continued her scoring into the second match, scoring a goal in each stanza to pull out the second win of the day.
