RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech’s soccer program will host their second annual soccer fun fest along with the inaugural soccer Alumni and faculty/staff games on Saturday, April 21 at 12 p.m. at the Lady Techster Soccer Complex.

The event is another free service put on by the LA Tech soccer team with the intention of promoting the sport of soccer in the Ruston community. The Lady Techster program already offers free soccer clinics and also created the Ruston Soccer Club.

Kids’ soccer games will kick off the schedule of events at 12 p.m. and be followed by a parents’ contest at 1:30 p.m. Current Lady Techster soccer players will then take on LA Tech faculty and staff members at 2 p.m. The event concludes with the Techsters facing off against alumni of the soccer program at 3 p.m.

In addition to the soccer games, other festivities for children – including inflatable bouncers and SUMO suits – will be offered from 12-2 p.m. Free popcorn, cookies and drinks will also be provided.

LA Tech faculty/staff and Lady Techster soccer alumni who are interested in playing in the respective games can contact assistant coach Kat McCullough at kmm035@latech.edu for more information.
