TYLER, Texas - The Louisiana Tech soccer team continued its spring season amid hot conditions on Saturday with two wins over Tyler Junior College and UT Tyler in a round robin tournament held at the Citizens 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex.

The tournament consisted of three teams playing each other in 60-minute matches with LA Tech taking the first match 3-0 against Tyler Junior College.

Nicole Jaquemet, Andrea Weng and Erica Stewart each netted a goal in the shutout.

The Lady Techsters then squared off against the host team UT Tyler, coming away with another victory of 2-1 with two more goals by Weng and Stewart.

"The ladies worked hard and put on a fine display of combination soccer," said head coach Kevin Sherry. "We could and should have scored more. The team was a little wasteful today in front of goal. We hope to tidy this up in time for the 7-a-side tournament next week."

Rounding out the spring schedule will be the `Kick for the Cure' 7-a-side tournament on April 13th at Burns Park in North Little Rock, Ark.
