Lady Techsters to Scrimmage Ouachita Baptist on Monday

RUSTON, La.?It will be a quick turnaround for the Lady Techster soccer team as they prepare for their second scrimmage game in as many days. Ouachita Baptist comes calling for a 7 p.m. scrimmage at Joe Aillet Stadium on Monday.

The scrimmage will offer Tech fans their first look at the 2007 Lady Techsters under the direction of new head coach Kevin Sherry. As many as 10 freshmen will be making their home debuts in the exhibition, as well.

Tech got its pre-season off to a solid start on Sunday with a 3-1 victory at LSU-Shreveport. Freshman Brooke Lanie made the most of her first appearance for the Lady Techsters, scoring two goals in the victory.

Ouachita Baptist is an NCAA Division II school in Arkadelphia, Ark., and competes in the Gulf South Conference. The Lady Tigers are picked to finish third in the GSC behind West Florida and Harding University. OBU opened its exhibition season on Saturday with a 4-1 victory over DFW Tejanos in Arkadelphia.
