RUSTON, La. - After three straight road games, the Louisiana Tech women's soccer team returns home to face Troy on Sunday at Lady Techster Soccer Complex at 1 p.m. The Lady Techsters look to rebound after falling to McNeese State 2-1 Friday night.

The first goal of the game Friday night was scored by the Cowgirls 4:32 into the first half. With the score, Tech shutout their opponents for 294:32 minutes to start the season that include a double overtime scoreless tie against Southern Miss.

Scoring the only goal of the game against the Cowgirls was senior Olivia Lukasewich (Woodbridge, Ontario) that brought her season total to two. Lukasewich is now tied with sophomore Emily Brennan (Plano, Texas) and freshman Abby Sentz (Kingwood, Texas) for the team lead.

While the Lady Techsters have had nine players score at least one goal in 2011, they have struggled to find the right combination at forward to be a consistent scoring threat.

"We just haven't been able to replace Kiva Gresham and I don't know where the goals are going to come from," said head coach Kevin Sherry. "Multiple players are being given an opportunity to play as strikers."

The Trojans lead the series against Tech 1-0 after winning in 2008 1-0 at the Troy Trojan Soccer Classic.

After defeating Alabama State 5-0 on Aug. 19 in the season opener, Troy fell to Murray State on Thursday 1-0 to enter Sunday's match with a 1-1-0 record.

Alissa Jones leads the Trojans with two goals on eight shots, four of them on goal. The team's only assist is credited to Nikki Stamaris.

Starting both games in goal has been Ashley Branham who has seven stops with a .875 save percentage.
