RUSTON - The last trip to the state of Alabama for Louisiana Tech was not kind as they went scoreless in both tournament games in Troy and suffered their first loss of the season. The Lady Techsters return to the Heart of Dixie tomorrow to face the South Alabama Jaguars in Mobile at 1 p.m.

Tech got back on the winning track yesterday with a 1-0 win versus UALR. The victory pushed their overall record to 5-1-1 as the nonconference schedule is slowly coming to a close.

The series is tied between the two schools, with the last meeting coming last year at home in Tech's season opener. The Techsters will hope for a repeat of that performance as they dominated the match from start to finish in route to a 4-0 win.

Tech got on the scoreboard in the 41st minute as midfielder Abby Sentz took a rebound from 20 feet out and struck it past the keeper. Eight minutes later she scored again on a cross from Olivia Lukasewich. They would go on to add two more goals in the latter part of the second period to put the game away.

South Alabama comes into this contest with a 4-3-0 record after beating Southern Miss yesterday 2-0. They have also registered wins over Nicholls State, Alabama State and Mississippi Valley State.

Junior forward Kristyn Thacker leads the team with three goals after registering the two goals versus Southern Miss.

For Louisiana Tech, junior forward Emily Brennan leads the team with four goals, three of those being game-winning.
