Lady Techster Soccer Looks to Rope the Cowgirls

The Lady Techster soccer squad looks to bounce back from a 6-0 loss at Louisiana-Lafayette on Friday with a contest against the McNeese State University Cowgirls in Lake Charles on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Junior goalkeeper Jade Berbert will lead Tech (0-1) into the contest, as she had nine saves against the Cajuns.

The Cowgirls (1-3) will be lead by their First Team All-Southland Conference goalkeeper Toni Deason, who ranked second in the nation in 2003 with 182 saves and 9.5 saves per game. Offensively, Ashley Viscariello leads McNeese with two goals and one assist on the season.

After their contest at McNeese, the Lady Techsters will face Northwestern State University in Tech's first-ever home match on Tuesday at 4 p.m. on the Lady Techster Soccer Field.
