Tech Soccer Begins Five-Game Homestand with Centenary
RUSTON, La. – After playing six of its first seven games on the road, Louisiana Tech will return to the friendly confines of Joe Aillet Stadium for the next three weeks, beginning with a matinee against Centenary on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
On Friday, Tech’s best offensive output of the season fell short in a 7-2 loss at Stephen F. Austin. Junior Denise Wilson picked up an assist on Kiva Gresham’s goal early in the first half, then put one of her own in the net late in the game for a three-point night. Freshman Jillian Pinder picked up her first career assist on Wilson’s goal. But three Ladyjack goals in the first 4:13 were too much to overcome for the Lady Techsters.
Centenary comes into Sunday’s game with an overall record of 3-5 and are currently in the midst of a three-game losing streak. On Friday, the McNeese State Cowgirls held the Ladies to only seven shots in a 3-0 McNeese victory in Lake Charles. The Ladies and Lady Techsters have faced three common opponents thus far, with the opposition taking wins in each match.
Admission is free, and concessions will be available for spectators.
