RUSTON -- Louisiana Tech fell 4-0 to San Jose State Sunday afternoon at Joe Aillet Stadium in Western Athletic Conference soccer action.
The Lady Spartans struck first in the third minute with a 20-yard strike from Jessica Scott to go up 1-0. Neither team scored for the remainder of the first half.
"I think in the first half we did fine," head coach Jen Soileau said. "We had a couple of chances to finish opportunities, and we got on the attack. I was really proud of the first half."
San Jose State struck again in the 55th-minute with a shot from Krale Kristin. Nicole Irwin scored again for the Lady Spartans in the 70th minute, while Liz Behlen scored eight minutes later to give the Spartans the win at 4-0.
"In the second half, we kind of fell apart as a team," Soileau said. "We try to remember that we're young and still growing as a team."
The Lady Techsters will travel to play Fresno State Friday, Oct. 21, at 9 p.m.
