Tech to Visit Grambling for Soccer Showdown

The Lady Techsters hope to ride the momentum gained in their first tie of the season against Belhaven College on Oct. 15 to a win against Grambling State University, when Tech visits the Lady Tigers at 4 o'clock on Wednesday.
LaShaundra Hildreth scored the first two goals in Tech (0-8-1) soccer history against Belhaven, and the Lady Techsters will look for Hildreth to have another strong game against Grambling (11-6-0).
Jade Berbert will start between the posts for the Lady Techsters, sporting a line of 106 saves through nine games with 39 goals allowed for a .721 save percentage.
Grambling is led offensively by Candice Nzeakor, who has recorded 15 goals, five assists and 35 points through 15 games. Thirty of Nzeakor's 35 shots have been on goal, and she scores on .359 percent of her shots.
Gabby Cano is expected to start at goalkeeper for the Lady Tigers, and she has allowed only 21 goals in 13 games with 47 saves for a .691 save percentage.
Grambling enters the contest on a three-game win streak, and the Lady Tigers' last win was a 5-4 defeat of Belhaven on Oct. 14.
After the Lady Techsters' match with Grambling, Tech will face the University of Arkansas-Little Rock on Oct. 24 at 1 p.m.
