Promotions Set for LA Tech Softball

RUSTON - The Louisiana Tech marketing department has announced its promotional s schedule for the 2014 Lady Techster softball season.

A number of promotions have been set around LA Tech home games, including non-conference as well as Conference USA series. Admission to all LA Tech softball games is free.

Head coach Mark Montgomery and Co. will host 15 more home games at the Lady Techster Softball Complex, including four three-game Conference USA series against UTEP, Florida Atlantic, Southern Miss and East Carolina.

Single game promotions include:

March 16 (vs. UTEP at 2 p.m.) - Autograph Day - the Lady Techster players will sign autographs following the contest.

March 26 (vs. Northwestern State at 6 p.m.) - Greek Night, SAAC Night - all Greek members and SAAC members will be in attendance

March 29 (vs. Florida Atlantic at 2 p.m.) - Military Appreciation Day - special invite to all current and former military members while the Lady Techsters will wear honorary camo jerseys

March 30 (vs. Florida Atlantic at 1 p.m.) - Ruston Girls Softball League Day, Youth Sports Day, Post-Game Clinic - All youth softball players are invited to the game and will be able to participate in a post-game clinic and meet & greet autograph session with the team and coaching staff.

April 2 (vs. McNeese State at 5 p.m.) - Faculty/Staff Appreciation - special invite to all Louisiana Tech faculty and staff

April 19 (vs. Southern Miss at 1 p.m.) - LA Tech Kids Club Sunday, Autographs - special invite to all LA Tech Kids Club members, who can run the bases and get autographs post-game

April 26 (vs. East Carolina at 2 p.m.) - Strike Out Cancer - players from both teams will be able to honor cancer patients in their family throughout the game with special PA reads written by the players. Members of the American Cancer Society will be in attendance.

April 27 (vs. East Carolina at 1 p.m.) - Senior Day - Louisiana Tech will honor its season softball players in their final home game.
