@LATechSB Gallaway Named C-USA Pitcher of the Week ![]()

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech junior Preslee Gallaway had another stellar week in the circle leading the Lady Techsters to a perfect 4-0 record, including a three-game Conference USA sweep against UTSA. For her efforts this week, Gallaway was named the Conference USA Pitcher of the Week by the league office for the second time this year and the fourth time in her career. Gallaway recorded a 2-0 record with one save and a 0.89 earned run average during the week. She tossed 15.2 innings of action, allowing just two runs on eight hits while striking out 20 batters. Opponents hit just .145 against her on the week. The Pilot Point, Texas, native pitched a pair of complete-game victories against UTSA. In the first contest, Gallaway tossed a three-hit shutout, tying her career-high with 12 strikeouts against the Roadrunners. Less than 24 hours later, she struck out six more in a 3-2 complete-game win. Gallaway started the week by picking up her first save of the year. She retired five of the six batters she faced, working the final 1.2 innings in a 3-2 victory over Stephen F. Austin. Tech will host Arkansas-Pine Bluff Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Ruston. The Lady Techsters own the nation’s fourth longest winning streak at 11 games entering this week. Tech will then host UAB Saturday and Sunday in a three-game Conference USA series that features the No. 1 and 2 teams in the standings.
