RUSTON - The Louisiana Tech softball team will make its national television debut Friday night when the Lady Techsters face Fresno State on ESPNU at 10 p.m. CT. Holly Rowe and Garland Cooper will provide the play-by-play and color commentary for the game which features two of the top teams in the Western Athletic Conference. The game is the first of a three-game series between the two teams at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno as Tech enters the contest with a 25-17 record, 10-8 in league play and in fourth place. Fresno State is 34-15, 13-5 in conference play and currently sits in second place in the WAC standings. Both teams have locked up one of six spots in the upcoming WAC Tournament but Fresno State needs to win at least one game in the series to lock up the #2 seed. LA Tech has locked up no worse then a #4 seed but could move up as high as #2 with a three-game sweep. Fresno State leads the all-time series between the two teams 25-4, including an 11-0 mark in Fresno.
Tech fans can also hear all three games of the series and every game in the 2010 WAC Tournament on the radio as KPCH 99.3 FM will carry the games.
Fans can also access the audio of the games on the internet through a subscription to LA Tech All-Access at www.latechsports.com.
