LAS CRUCES, New Mexico - Louisiana Tech's halted game against Fresno State has been pushed back to 3:30 p.m. CT (2:30 p.m. MT) due to the forecast for more rain in the Las Cruces area Thursday morning.
The two teams began play last night but had the game halted with two outs in the top of the fifth inning due to lightning and thunderstorms. Tech leads the perennial NCAA Tournament participant Bulldogs 13-7 with a runner on second base and two outs in the top of the fifth inning.
The game was supposed to be resumed this morning at 10:30 a.m. but tournament officials decided to push it and all the games back due to more rain converging on the area.
