RUSTON - Louisiana Tech's accomplishments of last week didn't go unnoticed.

For the first time in more than a decade, Louisiana Tech earned a vote in a Top 25 poll as the Lady Techsters appeared in the other's receiving votes category in this week's ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll.

Tech is one of ten teams outside of the top 25 that are receiving votes. The Lady Techsters, who are headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1995, earned the vote after winning the 2008 Western Athletic Conference Tournament title in Honolulu last week.

The Lady Techsters won the title by posting four straight victories over teams who are listed in this week's Top 25 poll: No. 12 Fresno State, No. 22 Nevada (twice) and No. 23 Hawaii.
