Elne Barnard Hometown: Port Elizabeth, South Africa Position: Student Assistant

The two-year letterwinner, Elne Barnard, for the Lady Techster tennis program returns as a student assistant for newly named head coach Freddy Gomez.

As a senior, she was named to the LSWA second team after finishing the year with an overall singles record of 16-5 with all contests taking place in the spring. She also compiled an 11-10 doubles record which was primarily from the number one slot.

In her junior season, she was named LSWA Newcomer of the Year after collecting a 14-14 overall record in singles and a 21-10 overall doubles record, partnering with teammate Anna Zurek in the number one position throughout the year. She won doubles title with Zurek at the UWF Fall Fling and also had a third place finished at the Stephen F. Austin Invitational.
