RUSTON - After having their last match postponed due to rainy weather, the Louisiana Tech tennis team will see clear blue skies tomorrow when they face Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas at 1 p.m. at the Schlief Tennis Complex.
LA Tech (1-1) enters the Sunday match itching to bet back on the courts having not played in almost two weeks when they dropped a hard-fought 4-2 loss at home to Southeastern Louisiana.
"We have had good practices this week, but we know Stephen F. Austin is a good team with good individual players," said head coach Freddy Gomez. "We will have to be ready and focused to embrace competition. We cannot give anyways away and we will have to take full advantage of the opportunities they might give us. I look forward to seeing our team ready to compete tomorrow."
The Lady Techsters hope to keep their strong support from the No. 1 spot going with senior Vivian ten Dolle as she is a perfect 2-0 in singles and doubles thus far.
SFA (1-4) will compete against Louisiana-Lafayette today before coming back 24 hours later to face LA Tech.
The Ladyjacks lone win this season has come against Northern Colorado and their four losses to Houston, Utah, Wichita State and Colorado.
