Tennis Hits the Road to Face Alcorn State

RUSTON, La. - The Louisiana Tech tennis team will be looking for their 12th win of the year, the most since 1996, as they hit the road to face Alcorn State at 6 p.m. Thursday night at the ASU Tennis Courts.
After splitting two home matches, the Lady Techsters are 11-5 and 5-3 on the road.
Junior Alena Erofeyeva leads Tech with a 21-8 overall singles record and is 14-2 in dual contests this year.
Senior Elne Barnard has compiled a 12-4 record with all of her matches taking place this spring. She is 10-4 at the No. 3 position and has won seven of her last 10 matches.
The team of Maartje de Wit and junior Vivian ten Dolle picked up the Techsters only victory against No. 43 Stephen F. Austin on Sunday. They are now 12-5 overall and 11-2 in the spring with all of their matches occurring at the No. 2 spot.
Alcorn State enters the contest with a 9-6 record and will be entering the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament with the No. 1 seed after going 8-0 in conference action.
