RUSTON - The Louisiana Tech tennis team hits the road to take on UT Arlington and Idaho this weekend as it continues conference play at the neutral site of the UTSA Tennis Center in San Antonio, Texas.

LA Tech (10-4, 5-1 WAC) will square off with the Mavericks on Saturday at 4 p.m., followed by a match against the Vandals on Sunday at 10 a.m.

The Lady Techsters are currently in third place in the WAC standings and cruising, winners of nine out of their last 10 matches.

The team is coming off an impressive home sweep of Utah State and UTSA where the Techsters only dropped three total sets combined.

Freshman Joanna Nalborska recently moved into the No. 1 singles position versus the Roadrunners with a convincing 6-0, 6-2 victory.

Nalborska and fellow freshman Manoela Chiacchio are both riding six game winning streaks in singles to lead the squad.

Right behind the Techsters in the conference standings is UT Arlington (4-9, 3-2 WAC) who has won three of its last four matches, all coming against conference opponents - Utah State, Texas State and Seattle U.

Idaho (6-8, 0-1 WAC) enters the weekend having won three of its last four as well, the three victories being non-conference matches and the lone loss coming at the hands of then No. 63 ranked Denver.
