Ragin' Cajun Invitational Flights
RUSTON, La. - The Louisiana Tech tennis team will be competing this weekend in Lafayette at the Ragin' Cajun Women's Tennis Classic. The three-day tournament is the second of four competitions that the Lady Techsters will be play in this fall. Along with Tech, the tournament field will also include competitors from Louisiana Lafayette, Lamar, Louisiana Monroe, McNeese State, Middle Tennessee State, Northwestern State, South Alabama and Southern Mississippi. In singles action for the Lady Techsters will be junior Vivian ten Dolle (Gelderland, Netherlands) in the upper bracket of Flight "A1" while freshman Laura Fernandez (Madrid, Spain) is slotted in the lower bracket of the flight. Junior Alena Erofeyeva (Yekaterinburg, Russia) is in the lower bracket of Flight "A2" and competing in the lower bracket of Flight "B1" will be senior Maartje de Wit (Velp, Netherlands). The doubles portion of the tournament will see the duo of ten Dolle and de Wit compete in the upper bracket of Flight "A1" and the team of Fernandez and Erofeyeva in Flight "A2." Action begins with doubles action on Friday at 8:30 a.m. and continues on Saturday at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Sunday at Cajun Courts inside the Culotta Center.
