FRESNO, Calif. – The Louisiana Tech volleyball team fell at Fresno State in straight sets (25-16, 25-16, 25-13) Thursday night at the Save Mart Center.
The defeat drops the Lady Techsters to 9-11 overall and 0-4 in Western Athletic Conference play while the Bullodgs improved to 8-8 and 3-1 in the conference.
Junior Marcella Braz (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) led Tech with seven kills while senior Bianca Bin (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and freshman Maria Coelho (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) both posted 10 assists apiece. Defensively, freshman Paige Cooper (Denver, Colo.) had a team-high seven digs
Fresno’s Korrin Wild had a game-high 15 kills and Lauren Albertson also cracked double-digits in kills with 10. Barbara Alcantara paced the team with 39 assists and recorded a game-high 11 digs.
The Lady Techsters continue their two-game road trip Saturday night at Nevada with the first serve scheduled for 9 p.m. Central time.
