RUSTON, La. - Despite Clara Vido's ninth double-double, Louisiana Tech (9-15; 0-7 WAC) fell to the Northwestern State Lady Demons (8-14; 4-5 SLC), in three straight sets (25-23, 25-21, 25-16) in the Thomas Assembly Center Wednesday evening.
Leading the Lady Techsters with eleven kills was Sophomore Clara Vido. She also recorded a team-high 15 digs. She has now recorded a career high nine double-doubles this season. Three Lady Techsters recorded double-digit digs; Vido, Nataliya Panova with 13, and Stephany Salas with 12. Senior Bianca Bin recorded 17 of the team's 31 assists. Emily Mayer recorded 4 blocks (one solo).
Stacey DiFrancesco led the Lady Demons with 11 kills. She also recorded a double-double, with the 11 kills and 15 digs. Keelie Arneson led the Lady Demons with 24 digs, and Emily Sweet recorded a game high 30 assists.
Louisiana Tech will host conference rival New Mexico State on October 22 at 7 p.m. in the Thomas Assembly Center.
