HONOLULU – The Louisiana Tech volleyball team fell to No. 6 Hawaii in straight sets (25-11, 25-7, 25-15) Thursday night in Honolulu.

The Lady Techsters drop to 9-21 overall and 0-13 in Western Athletic Conference action while the Rainbow Wahine improve to 25-1 and 13-0 in WAC play.

Junior Marcella Braz (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) led Tech with seven kills while senior Bianca Bin (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and freshman Maria Coelho (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) recorded seven and six assists, respectively. Defensively, junior Stephany Salas (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) paced the squad with nine digs.

Offensively for the Hawaii, Monica Stauber and Mita Uiato both recorded double-digit assists with 16 and 15, respectively. Kanani Danielson and Jane Croson both had a game-high eight kills apiece. Every player for the Rainbow Wahine recorded a dig with Croson and Danielson leading the way with six each.

Tech ends the WAC portion of their schedule Saturday at San Jose State at 9 p.m. The Lady Techsters return home for their final match of the year against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.
