Final Stats

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Louisiana Tech volleyball team fell to San Jose State on the road 3-1 (17-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-12) Saturday night in the Lady Techsters’ final Western Athletic Conference game of the season.

Tech is now 9-22 on the year and 0-14 in WAC play while the Spartans improve to 11-16 overall and 6-8 in conference.

Freshman Bridget Benditz had a match-high 16 kills and junior Marcella Braz also recorded double-digit kills with 12. Reaching double-figures in digs were juniors Stephany Salas and Nataliya Panova with 22 and 13, respectively. Senior Bianca Bin was credited with 22 assists on the night.

For SJSU, Alex Akana and Samantha O’Connell had 15 kills apiece and Caitlin Andrade assisted on 34 of the team’s 54 kills. Defensively, Krista Miller had 17 digs while Hanah Blume and Katie Turner also recorded double-digit digs with 13 and 12, respectively.

The Lady Techsters return home for Senior Night on Nov. 15 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 7 p.m. with Bin being honored prior to the match.
