![]() Techsters Unable to Advance in WAC Tournament

HONOLULU, Hawaii -- Despite winning the first set, the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters (4-24; 0-16 WAC) ended the 2008 season with a loss to Fresno State (7-19) in four sets by final score of 25-23, 23-25, 22-25 and 19-25. Sophomore Taylor Fritz led the Techsters early with four kills and three digs in the first set, while the Techsters as a team out-blocked Fresno State 3.0 to 2.0. It would not be enough, as the Bulldogs would go on to win the next three sets. Freshman Natasha Kolunija finished the day with 13 kills, while junior KC Clayton finished with nin kills and two blocks. Senior Debora Bolonhini dug 20 balls for the Techsters and cemented her 2008 campaign as second all-time in the Techster record books with 4.19 digs per set for the season. Fritz also finished the match with 12 digs, while sophomore setter Bianca Bin finished the day with 33 assists.
