June 19, 2017
RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech volleyball head coach Adriano de Souza (6th Season) unveiled a 2017 slate that is sure to challenge a young, but ready Lady Techster squad. "Our non-conference slate will force our team to be very focused from the first weekend. I believe our players will understand early in the season, the need be intentionally aggressive in every point they compete for," de Souza said.

The final non-conference match of the regular season will come against UL-Monroe (9-25) in Monroe on September 20.
LA Tech opens conference play on September 24 at the TAC against Rice. Following the match, the Techsters will begin a three-game road swing which will begin on September 29 at reigning Conference USA-champion WKU and include trips to North Texas and Middle Tennessee.
"Our C-USA matches will demand a high level of teamwork from our group," de Souza continued. "This year our team will be composed of a mix of returning players and newcomers who will vie for playing time the moment they step in campus. It is their work towards the same goals that will dictate our results in conference play."
The conference slate also includes home matches against UAB on October 8th, Southern Miss on October 13th, FAU and FIU on the weekend of October 20th and 22nd, Closing the home matches LA Tech with play Charlotte and North Texas on November 3rd and 5th.
