Lady Techsters To Face Cowgirls of McNeese State

RUSTON, La. - The Louisiana Tech volleyball team (6-4; 0-0 WAC) will wrap up a four game home stand against McNeese State Tuesday at 7 p. m. in the Thomas Assembly Center.
The Lady Techsters went 2-1 in the Louisiana Tech Invitational over the weekend and look to continue their success against the Cowgirls of McNeese State.
Clara Vido recorded her fifth double-double of the season against Southeastern Louisiana over the weekend, tying her career high. Caitlin Germany and Emily Maher were both named to the LA Tech Invitational all-Tournament Team as Germany posted 21 kills and 12 blocks over three games and Maher recorded a combined 11 kills.
Tech has faced McNeese a combined eight times in program history and hold a 5-3 mark against the Cowgirls. The last meeting between the two teams was on September 22, 2009, when the Lady Techsters defeated McNeese, 3-1.
McNeese State is 2-6 this season. The Cowgirls are coming off a 3-1 victory to Prairie View. Maegan Carlton leads McNeese in kills, recording a total of 114 to-date this season. Her counterpart, Whitney Ellisor leads the team defensively with 99 digs.
Following the match against McNeese, Tech will travel to Houston, Texas to participate in the Houston Baptist Tournament before traveling to Las Cruces, New Mexico to play their first conference game against New Mexico State.
