Techsters Fall to Utah State in Three

LOGAN, Utah - Louisiana Tech (2-9; 0-4 WAC) did not fare well Thursday night on the road at Utah State (5-10; 3-1 WAC) and lost in straight sets by final scores of 18-25, 20-25 and 11-25.

After dropping the first set of the night, the Techsters started strong in set two and took as much as a 12-8 lead. It would not be enough as Utah State bounced back and outscored Tech 17-8 for the remainder of the set.

Junior Sam Crowder totaled five kills for the match to lead the Techsters. Junior KC Clayton finished the night with four. The Techsters outblocked the Aggies by a total of 5.5 to 1.

Tech returns to action Saturday, Oct. 4, at 9 p.m. against San Jose State.
