RUSTON, La. - The Louisiana Tech volleyball team (9-12, 0-5 WAC) returns to Ruston to face San Jose State (6-12, 1-3 WAC) Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in the first of back-to-back games that the Lady Techsters will play in consecutive nights.
Following Thursday night's contest against the Spartans, Tech will square off against nationally-ranked Hawaii Friday night at 7 p.m.
The Lady Techsters are paced offensively by senior Bianca Bin (Sao Paulo, Brazil) with 7.2 assists per game in conference play and junior Marcella Braz (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) with 3.42 kills per game in WAC play. Both players rank eighth in the conference in the respective categories.
Defensively, Junior Nataliya Panova (Sophia, Bulgaria), freshman Bridget Benditz (Houston, TX) and freshman Ana Rodrigues (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) pace the team in digs during WAC play with 2.36 per game each.
The Spartans are led by Caitlin Andrade with 8.12 assists/game, seventh in conference play. Kiely Pieper is tied for second place in WAC play with .38 service aces/set. Defensively, Alex Akana is ninth in the WAC with 1.03 blocks/game.
