SHREVEPORT, La. -- Louisiana Tech (2-12; 0-6 WAC) will remain on the road with another nonconference match slated; this time back in North Louisiana against Centenary (4-15; 0-6 Summit) Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m.
"Centenary is the last match of a rather long stretch of road games and it will be nice to play an away game that is only about an hour's drive, as opposed to a few time zones away," Tech head coach Matt Sonnichsen said. "We wish to keep focusing on what we need to do as a team to improve. Against Hawaii, we put together two solid sets, then we lost our concentration and it showed in the game three score. With a couple of WAC home matches later this week, we want to build some positive momentum and put together a great series of games."
The Techsters have not played on Louisiana soil since Sept. 25 against then No. 7 Hawaii. Tech has been on the road for five straight matches and was unable to pick up a win.
Tech most recently lost Friday on the road at Hawaii by final scores of 15-25, 19-25 and 9-25. Centenary is on a two-match losing streak.
The Techsters are led by junior KC Clayton, who is averaging 1.91 kills per set. Jennifer Kunze leads the Ladies with 2.47 kills per set.
The match is set to start at 7 p.m.
