RUSTON, La. - Following Friday night's contest at Tulsa, Louisiana Tech returns home to Ruston to battle league foe FIU in the team's annual Dig Pink match at 1 p.m. Sunday in Scotty Robertson Memorial Gymnasium.
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Lady Techsters will be wearing pink shoe strings and accents, while free pink LA Tech Volleyball T-shirts will be given away to all fans in attendance while supplies last.
Additionally, free raffle tickets will be given away at the match as fans will be automatically entered to win a pink volleyball signed by the 2013 Lady Techsters and staff.
FIU comes into tomorrow's match following a loss to East Carolina on the road Friday night. The Panthers are 9-12 on the season with a 3-5 mark in Conference USA play, while Louisiana Tech is looking to rebound from a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Tulsa on the road last night.
Sunday's contest will mark the first of just three home matches the Techsters have remaining on the schedule and final match this season scheduled in Memorial Gym. LA Tech will play its final two home matches versus Florida Atlantic and UAB in the Thomas Assembly Center upon completion of Paul Millsap Vision Presented by Community Trust, the brand new video board being installed in the arena.
