Techsters to Host Aggies in Their Final Home Match of the Season
The Lady Techsters' match against Utah State tomorrow night will be their last home match of the season and senior Stacey Clark's last time in a Tech uniform at home.
Louisiana Tech will play the Utah State Aggies for their last home match of the season at the Thomas Assembly Center at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
The Lady Techsters (15-15, 2-12) hope to snap their seven-match losing streak, but that feat will be tough to accomplish, as Utah State (17-11, 9-5) is the Western Athletic Conference's fourth-best team and defeated Tech 0-3 in Logan, Utah in the two team's first match of the season on Sept. 24.
Last week the Aggies pushed No. 9 nationally-ranked Hawaii to five games before losing to New Mexico State in four games, while the Lady Techsters also fell to New Mexico State.
Junior Ambra Hayes and sophomore Shannon Phillips continue to lead Tech's offense, as they average 3.65 and 3.19 kills per game, respectively, and junior Anielle Da Silva remains third on the team with 2.68 kills per game.
Freshman libero Meghan Haas leads the team defensively with 3.89 digs per game.
After the Lady Techsters' match against Utah State tomorrow night, they will wrap up the 2005 season with a match at Hawaii on Nov. 19 and then the WAC Tournament, beginning on Nov. 26.
