Phillips Earns Second-Team All-WAC Honors

DENVER -- Louisiana Tech senior Shannon Phillips was named Second-Team All-Western Athletic Conference Wednesday night after a stellar 2007 season.

?We?re very happy for her,? Tech head coach Heather Mazeitis said. ?This is good for our program.?

Phillips finished the season with a .209 attacking percentage while averaging 4.23 kills per game. Phillips totaled 431 kills and 332 digs in 2007 while totaling 13 double-doubles. She was named to the preseason All-WAC team before the 2007 season began.
