RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech will wrap up regular season play this weekend as the Lady Techsters hit the road to face Tulane at 7 p.m. Friday and Rice at 1 p.m. Sunday in the 2013 finale in Houston, Texas.

LA Tech (7-20, 1-11 C-USA) will begin the weekend Friday night at Devlin Fieldhouse in New Orleans as they take on one of the top teams in Conference USA in the Tulane Green Wave (24-3, 10-2 C-USA) on the road. Tulane has won 11 of its last 12 matches and hold a 10-2 record in home contests.

The Lady Techsters will then take on the Rice Owls (9-18, 5-7 C-USA) Sunday at Tudor Fieldhouse in the 2013 season finale. Rice is currently ranked sixth in the league.

LA Tech is coming off a three-set loss to conference foe UAB in the team's final home match inside the Thomas Assembly Center last Sunday. The Techsters are currently on a nine-match losing streak with the team's last win coming in four sets Oct. 4 at Charlotte.

TEAM LEADERS

THAT'S KILLER - The Lady Techsters are led offensively by junior outside hitter Xzache Mathis, who has totaled 316 kills and 3.51 kills per set in 90 sets played this season. Sophomore Dalane Guidry currently leads the team in hitting percentage with .267, while recording 130 kills in 87 sets.

NEED ASSISTANCE? - Setter Maria Coelho continues to lead LA Tech in assists with 863 and 8.46 per set, while also holding the top spot in aces on the team with 41 and an average of 0.40. Coelho is also ranked 33rd nationally in aces per set and first in Conference USA. As a team, Louisiana Tech leads C-USA in aces per set with 1.57, a mark that ranks 26th nationally.

BLOCK FEST - At the net, senior Caitlin Germany will enter her final two matches of her career as the team-leader in total blocks with 81 and 0.86 per set. Germany is also fourth on the team in kills with 117 and an average of 1.24 per set in 94 sets.

CAN YOU DIG IT? - Freshman libero Alejandra Aviles continues to lead with 341 digs and 3.75 per set for the Lady Techsters in her first season with the team. Aviles has also tallied 16 service aces thus far this season.
